Ps3 and ps4 the top 2 selling home consoles. You have to fear for the Wii U in Japan this Year. Xbox down to 250. Seriously how low can it fucking go. At this rate it could be under 1000 a month.

Those 3DS numbers don't actually look too good to me. Despite the release of the New 3DS, sales are actually down quite a bit from last year.

So's the Wii U for that matter, but that's not so unexpected.

I believe in honesty, civility, generosity, practicality, and impartiality.

Wasn't there an NPD leak on GAF that had Abyss under 200k for NA?

Supposedly 45k LTD in June 2012.  We have it 104k by April 21st.

It seems to have had a limited print run too, so I can't imagine it having the legs that VGC is suggesting it has had.

Cut sales in half, still good for a port no?

Edit: Well new outside of japan, but still not bad imo

Like Auron says, they're not bad sales per se, but they don't exactly support the point you're arguing against.

It does support it though, how doesn't it?

He's saying that Tales fans are on PlayStation platforms (in the context of that it's the most sensible place to release a game to see maximum sales); your rebuttal is a game massively overtracked in the west with average sales in Japan.

I don't see what that's meant to demonstrate?  Tales can sell alright on a Nintendo platform?  Sure.  It sold alright on a Microsoft platform too.  Doesn't mean it should be the franchise's home going forward.

So that 400k announcement raised the expectations, but it's ok, right?

I expected a bit more from Legend of Legacy, and a bit less from Kirby.

YK 2.5 is catching up with Pokemon. And FFE is almost flat! Oh and Animal crossing is on its way to 3m.

SSB WiiU, and MK8 are holding rather well, if only HW could follow.

I never said it should go (at least as an exclusive). also the game is a port in japan, so the low sales arent necessarily low and finally in the west, i get its massively overtracked yet Tales of the abyss (a port) outsold Xillia if Outwaron is right on the games being overtracked here.

Again, im not saying Sony isnt the home for Tales of, but i think your wrong on that front for not being on Nintendo consoles (at least HH) especially in the west.

Well Xillia was over 100k after a month, and as I previously linked, Abyss 3D was 45k after 4 months, so I don't think there's much grounds to say that Abyss outsold Xillia in any region :P

To be honest, I don't think Tales is a handheld-suited franchise for sales.  It's never lit the sales charts up (at least in Japan) even when mainline entries were being made on DS (highest selling handheld ever), and handheld entries definitely aren't going to be the future of the franchise going forward in the west.
