Forums - Gaming Discussion - FFXV is one giant, connected Landmass. Important disconcerting info

Not definitive if they are in or not, but are you kidding?  The draw distance in that FFXV demonstration was huge. It was a very small portion of the world too according to them.

You would need some faster way eventually to get across areas considering the size of this game.  Screw fast travel, you'd get around just fine with an airship.

Draw distance was fine, but the map was small. you wouldn't need an airship.

Compare the city to the land. It isn't big. Having a slower mode of transportation like a car (not to mention having to go around mountains, ect) will make it feel much bigger.

It doesn't need to feel big the whole game though. Dragon quest 8 at flight transportation but only in end game, and that was fine.

I apologize if the OP came off as hateful to some, but rather it's about anger. Two different energies. Hatred for instance is rated AO and coming to a Steam near you.

Anger comes before that.

Well this thread has become confusing quickly

And Suikoden had Viki's teleportation. I think as long as  there is a fast travel,  the way you get around doesn't matter.

Seriously, its soo annoying in mobile :/

Sorry, completely forgot about Scalebound.

Why am I not allowed to talk about Scalebound?

I was actually referring to the Xbox One version of FFXV. Because it is a very very similar game that is on Xbox...

The post that started it I believe was referring to a certain game on a certain U, I mean Console.

There is no U in Xbone.

Well it does matter here, mostly because of the tradition.

BTW if Nomura was still director, we would definitely have a airship inspired by the millenium falcon. Tabata seems to give a shit though, so if we don't get it we can console ourselves thinking it was dropped for something prioritary, like more content.

Also the game universe was first thought to be contemporary fantasy (so somewhere between traditionnal FF and TWEWY (Big margin ik)), thus a scifi or steampunk airship wouldn't make much sense.

It's just a lot of pussyfooting around mentioning Zelda Wii U.

Answer is obviously Meme Run

That would just be stupid though if they decided to drop it because they wanted to add more sidequests to an already huge world full of them.  The airship is a necessity for the feeling of power and freedom at pivotal points in the FF series.  Tabata said he wanted to surpass FF7, well first you have to get the basics and necessities down first.

They already showed airships of some kind dropping in to let soldiers off and fight you.  They looked a little sci fi.
