Well, if he could find a way to track it, then hell yes! It would be great! And maybe he can add in some PC sales too but its fine he doesn't though. If digital is the future, I hope ioi finds a way to track it

Considering that you're reliant on publishers for digital sales numbers (i.e. nothing to track it with + lack of consistent publisher reports), it's kinda impossible.

It's just not practical. We get digital sale numbers only when a company wants to share that figure. So VGC is not tracking the digital sales, they're just adding that number to the total. 

And let's say they add that number just to let others know how it has been selling digitally: Ex. Mario Kart 8 is at 3 million retail in 1 month, and Nintendo announces it sold 100k first week digitally (just an example). We would have a total of +3.1 million, even though it has probably sold way more digitally. It's not accurate Weird saying that on this site.

At least that's my opinion.



Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

I doubt they have any hard numbers to put together those rankings. Trying to guess digital sales would be worse than trying to guess preorder numbers.

Devs and console maker never give digital sale,i don't think vgchartz can track digital



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

I don't want to sound rude or anything, but I think their retail numbers should be the most accurate possible first.



My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.
