Really hard to believe they will end the 350$ price tag but who knows.

If they raise the price back up and drop all the bundled games then I think sells will drop dramatically.

People already forgot that it was $500 last year?

Even going back to $400 it would be 20% cheaper, it´s been released in 20+ more markets and last gen games are losing suport and development.

Also, the DRM fiasco is forgoten, and basicaly all the bad press is gone.

There is no reason to belive the first two quarters seles would drop. No chance.

They will drop first quarter. PS4 has two big exclusives, one niche exclusive, several smaller exclusives (irrelevant to me, but they are there), and superior performance of multiplats being released right out of the gate.

I still believe that the X1 can match 360 lifetime with the right moves, but PS4 will own the first half of 2015 and will likely secure the second half as well (by a much smaller margin).

This is a hard one to predict. IF it goes back to $400, it could see a huge repercussion from the bundles seen in Nov and Dec. The price cut was a desperate move and I'm guessing MS were willing to sell a ton to get the install base, go back to normal price and hold on until Halo releases. There will be a lot riding on Halo next year.

We might even see the X1 down YOY for the second half of the year. They had to rely on staying $50-$70 cheaper to outsell the PS4 in the US. IF they want a repeat of outselling the PS4 again and have high sales, they will have to hope that the PS4's price doesnt drop to $350. Do you think MS will be able to sell at $300-$280 with free games to outsell the PS4 again?

Personally I think the X1 will sell less next year because I anticipate the X1 not having that big of a price advantage over the PS4 like it had this year, plus a huge decline in January (I think they will go back to $400). But if the X1 can keep the $50 price advantage for large parts of the year, it will be up YOY.... surely!

If MS keep the $350 price tag. Would they not then need to give this $50 price cut to every other country. if they don't prepare to see sales in every other country die while people wait for it.

If it goes back to $400'ish mark, I see it being moderately to slightly up YOY. Worst case scenario is flat for the first half.

Why not?Products have high possibilities to crash when they go back to their original price,some even if they keep the cheaper price,having sold surprisingly fast to those who would buy the product anywise!

boy did sales slow after the holidays, on amazon sales between it and the ps4 are pretty close now even though the xb1 is 300 with 2 games and the ps4 is 400 with 2 games

but no it will not be down from last yrs jan-jun

MS somewhat restored its image and during this time last yr its sold for $500 and there was less next gen games to move HW dont know the SW lineup for xb1 next yr but 3rd partys will still be releasing on it and there will be momentum from COD AW and GTA5

their commercials say its LIMITED TIME ONLY
and its up to January 3
it doesnt have any software to really push it( witcher 3 and evolve bundle will push it for a week but even then ps4 will take away its sales)
