Forums - Movies & TV - Meet the new mastertrolls: Paramount submits Transformers 4 for Oscar Consideration

So they're basically shotgunning the categories. I just watched it last night. It was probably the worst movie I've seen in the last two years.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

I don't really see this getting an Oscar of anything besides for visuals but I don't get why Micheal Bay films get so many negative reaction from people who watch his films. If they don't like his films then why are they watching it and giving it billions of dollars in the box office?

Indeed, the first Transformers was interesting and piqued interest enough for me to also see the second one in the cinema. I'd learned my lesson by then and only had a look at Dark of the Moon when it hit Blu-ray. For the fourth though, not even interested in renting. Will be a Sky Movies On Demand at best.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

why not, it was a masterpiece. I thoroughly enjoyed every damn second of the movie. What a fantastic choice for an award.

Go away. But seriously dark of the moon was twice the movie t4 was..

Haven't enjoyed a transformers movie since the first one. I did like the premise this story had but it was still just boring.

I turned it my TV off and did my homework after watching the first hour and a half. Movie was so boring and too long.

That's another thing I forgot to mention all these transformer movies are so long it's ridiculous. No one wants to watch a two hour action movie thats way to long for an action movie. The last three transformer movies could have all ended thiry minutes earlier.

Thats not really true. 1st transformer couldve been a half hour longer and i wouldve loved it that much more. Titanic was 3 hours long dont hear to many complaints about it, gone with the wind is like 4 hours long, lord of the rings 3 hours each.

You can have an action movie run 2-3 hours long it just has to have diversity to it, interesting characters, good believable plot, interesting dialogue. This movie feels so long because it has all of these things missing imo.

Well I don't consider the Titanic or gone with the wind action movies not to sure why you brought those up. I was spefically refering to action movies and while yes their might be exceptions to the rule overall I think 1.5 hours is plenty for an action movie. Lord of the Rings I wouldn't consider an action movie either. One big war at the end doesn't make up for all the talking and traveling in between.

Doesnt every movie try this? I dont see why they wouldnt unless it costs a lot. Michael bay can afford it now nonetheless though.

interstellar should win everything.

EVERYTHING

What? No Best Actor? Travesty.

Lol, Doesn't deserve any award.
