Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Captain Toad commercial

What's up with that narrator. And why do they steal a line from Up.

Just let the game speak for itself.

Ad department seems to be phoning it in.

It would be miles better if the narrator wasn't trying too hard, but at least it isn't a living room ad a la last year :P . I'm more impressed a minor title like this got a commercial. At least Nintendo has learned that much.

Yea pretty eh.

Very poor commercial, the price is an important feature, is just 39.99
I will buy it day 1 and enjoy it, but this commercial is not helping.

A gameplay focused comercial, i think its okay.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

i think it is not bad... but I watched it without sound!

Switch!!!

Wouldn't say it's too bad really. Focuses on what the game really is. Short and clear. Could it be better? Yeah sure, but calling it bad? It's loads better than the fake families "acting" that they are having fun. Board game commercials even do a better job at that. So on a Nintendo scale I would put it at a 7 and above average.

It's ok, but nothing truely great. Below Average in my opinion.

Good to know you can tell by a 30 second trailer exactly what the game will be like. I wish I had that power...
