User Discovers Amiibo Functionality with Pokemon Rumble U
Youtube user Kolma discovered some interesting Amiibo compatibility with Pokemon Rumble U. In the video below the user is seen loading up Pokemon Rumble U and using his amiibos to call for help in battle. The results aren’t what we’d expect however. Scanning a Pikachu amiibo summoned Mesprit to the battlefield while using the Link amiibo summoned Swinub. Additionally Wii Fit Trainer’s amiibo summoned Boldore, Marth’s amiibo summoned Weedle, and finally the Villager amiibo called Victini into battle.

Pokemon Rumble U does make use of Pokemon NFC figures but was released long before the amiibos were ever announced so this is more of an unintentional glitch than anything. It’s still interesting to see the newly released figures finding more uses in games we never expected. What other Pokemons could be summoned in the game using other amiibos?
