I like to be contrary, therefore I've gone for MK8 rather than SSB Wii U (though that will definitely be second place!). Mario Kart has always been the series I've turned to for my thrills, and MK8 is the best Mario Kart by a mile, particularly now with the new (excellent) DLC. It was the game that sold me the Wii U, and it lived up to that.

I give Nintendo a 7/10 this year. The best year for them probably since 2007.
