Forums - Nintendo - Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire has been pre-ordered over 1 million times in Japan

They may not even be out yet, but Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are already shaping up to be huge hits. Ahead of their release, the remakes have already been pre-ordered over 1 million times in Japan, numbers way ahead of what Pokemon X and Y were able to achieve. Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are due out November 21st in Japan and North America and November 28th in Europe.

it isnt just a remake,it is a whole new experience!This games will make some that stopped playing pokemon in hoenn...to come back...Do you know that there is a delta emerald in the works....?

I thought X/Y had 1.26 million preorders like two or three weeks before the release? Those numbers look okay, but I don't think they surpass XY.

XY= New Generation. ORAS= Remakes. (why do some people forget about this?) Nobody should think ORAS>XY FW (around 2mil)

Those are actually really amazing numbers if you think about it. Though ORAS will not surpass these 3 games below lifetime sales (especially+obviously the first game), it is going to beat them in FW, which is definitely impressive.

ORAS: 1.00mil Pre Orders

Ruby/Sapphire: 1.27mil FW (The game its based on. Its going to beat its first week, which is funny. How many remakes can do that? :P)

FireRed/LeafGreen: 1.09mil FW [3.14mil Lifetime] (Based on Gen 1, its already practically beaten in first week sales)

HeartGold/SoulSilver: 1.44mil FW [3.96mil Lifetime] (Could be close FW, overall it did amazing and was on DS, Not to mention Gen 2)
