I think Amiibo will be either a big hit or a giant tsar bomba. I hope VGC tracks them.

VGC won't track them. The only things we'll get will be Ninty's shipped numbers. BTW it's Tsar bomba, not czar bomba.

I don't think ioi will even try to track them. He didn't track Skylanders' figurines or Disney Infinity's figurines, why would Amiibo be different? I really don't know how we'll ever get the numbers for them unless Nintendo releases them.

Indeed. Can't argue with that logic. I too would love them to track it, but it's still hard to track accessories. For another comparison, consider the Kinect. We don't know how many were sold, we can only infer it from the number of Kinect Adventures copies sold. We don't know how many Wii Zappers were sold, we can only infer from the number of copies of Link's Crossbow Training sold. With Amiibo, we don't have a specific software to compare to, so we'll never know.

I think they'll sell okay but really have any impact on the Wii U's current situation.
