Indeed. Can't argue with that logic. I too would love them to track it, but it's still hard to track accessories. For another comparison, consider the Kinect. We don't know how many were sold, we can only infer it from the number of Kinect Adventures copies sold. We don't know how many Wii Zappers were sold, we can only infer from the number of copies of Link's Crossbow Training sold. With Amiibo, we don't have a specific software to compare to, so we'll never know.
