Will Amiibo be a success? And can/will VGC somehow track the sales?

I don't think ioi will even try to track them. He didn't track Skylanders' figurines or Disney Infinity's figurines, why would Amiibo be different? I really don't know how we'll ever get the numbers for them unless Nintendo releases them.
