never played crash, but mario kart 64 was very good. mario kart 64 is a game that you can play now and think wow awesome

That means people expected more from MK64, than what they actually got. Now look at CTR, an totally unporven game, that was much better than they expected. Was it better than MK? Hard to tell. This clearly brings our feelings in advantage for CTR. Now look at the fact that ALL later Crash racers are crap, or at least close to, while MK had MK:DD which was also a great game. This makes us remember MK64 sorta like MK:DD,which also gives us flawed feelings. This clearly brings an advantage for MK64. I could list about 5 more examples like these, but I won't bother. As you see, not all of these influence on us, so that if only MK64 advantages influence me, I'll say MK64. |
Maybe because the Crash franchise was sold to Vivendi ? Anyways , IMO CTTR was pretty good :)

I don't think that there's a game in existance that I've spent more hours playing than MK64. I love that game to death. I have only played CTR once, and from what I remember, it was pretty much the same as Mario Kart. It was fun and fast, but basically it was just a big rip-off of MK. CTR does have really good graphics, but keep in mind that it came out almost 3 years after MK64...obviously the graphics would be better.
Basically, I'm saying both games are good, but Mario Kart did it first, plus the multiplayer is way more fun than CTR's multiplayer. My vote for better game overall goes to MK64. I love that game.

Well, while I did enjoy SMB on the NES, I was introduced to Crash 2, 3, and Crash Team Racing when my dad bought me a PS1. Mario Kart is fun and all, but I would choose Crash Team Racing because I've enjoyed the Crash Bandicoot games (only the ones Naughty Dog made).
I personally had a lot more fun with Mario Kart 64 back in the day than Crash Team Racing. I didn't own either console though so only got the chance to play at friends houses.
