Kotaku and other sites did

Recently? Like for Destiny or Shadows of Modor.

Because Google is not returning many complains about instalation time... instalation size on the other hand...

Maybe because they learnt to deal with it and not many gamers have both consoles.

This has been talked a lot at the launch, so most people dont see the point of bringing that issue every month i guess.  There are a lot of things like that, for example, nobody talks about the big PS4 controller advantage when it comes to plug in any headphone you want for free, nobody talks about that whereas it makes a big difference in games like alien isolation or evil within.

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Holy shit this has been known since the launch of both consoles and you got people arguing this?
PS4 installs exponentially faster. PS4 installs in background which takes less than a minute and Xbox One installs the full game which takes longer.

No, that is wrong, and was wrong last year.

Though last year you need a considerable more percentage for the XOne and installing the patches that were the problem.

Well, try this Google query " alien isolation xbox one slow installation time"

It didn´t give me any information.

Not even the DF analysis

The time to install the full game on both consoles, if the game have the same size, is about the same. There is no magic that could overcome the physical properties of the BluRay bandwide reading.

The time start playing some missions or levels depends on how developers arranged the data for streaming and instalation.

Sony also put a extra chip to speedy up things and intensively encourage devs to use the feature. Microsoft on the other hand basicaly ignored the issue, it wasn´t necessary extra work to save two or three minutes once.

However the real problem lies when installing updates during the first install, that is what takes time. This should be fixed as most games are coming out with gargantuan first day updates and content.

Interestingly this "issue" has been so overlooked that since last year launch title I haven´t seem any site doing face-off of instalation times.

Physically a 6x CAV blu-ray drive cannot read faster than 1.6 GB per minute which slows down to 675 MB per minute towards the inner circle of the disk. A game like Alien Isolation at 18GB install (I think it is, not sure) cannot install faster than 12 minutes, maybe 6 with compression.

I think the solution Sony chose is far more simple. Read from the blu-ray if the data is not available on the hdd yet. I've noticed a bit of choppiness and late texture streaming issues in a few games on first time playing, which disappears after the disc stops spinning. Update files don't interfere as they replace files on the hdd, hence the updates are so big nowadays. No more patching binary files, simply replace.

Oh, yes, yes.

DF also said there were "chopness" in the first play through.

But again, no information regarding the XOne start time for Alien Isolation, and what I´ve found for Shadows of Modor say it´s 20-30 seconds.

Also, no reference to Kotaku mesures since last year.

I think may be people realy don´t mind waiting 10 or 15 minutes to install.

Why don't you try reading that, this was from the launch. All PS4 install times were less than 1 minute and Xbox One were a lot longer.
