How dare you support the 3rd party developers that the WiiU doesn't have!

As usual, a game that I'm actually interested in coming to Wii U...long after I've gotten it on Steam/Humble Bundle for a quarter the price. It's cool that it's there for console-exclusive gamers though. They just need to get them on the eShop more quickly.

Currently playing:

Bloodbath Paddy Wagon Ultra 9

I know right, the nerve of me!

And a critically acclaimed Indie game too! Have I no shame?

Ok, wow.

I'm two hours in now, and I gotta say, if you're a Wii U owner, buy this game!

This is the sort of thing we should be supporting; high quality releases that actually put the effort into giving us the best experience they can.

It's marvellously atmospheric and cleverly designed, and in the game's context the Gamepad works well as a sort of GPS/Data Pad. It's used sensibly but subtly, never intruding on the experience.

Best eshop game so far in my book.

Nice...I'll add it to my growing list of EShop titles to grab.  Teslagrad and Guacamelee are already there too.

Yeah... no. I don't trust you.

eShop rule #1: If a game launches at a price of above 10 Euro, then you are looking at an inflated price that already factors in the inevitable discounts. So wait at least two to three months until you can buy it for the price it should have been all along. A positive side effect of this is that any hype has died down by that point and therefore you can get real feedback on the quality.

The "hype" has already died down, since it's been out on other platforms for a while.

Rol this game has been out on PC for like two years. I played there last year. If you want retrospective opinions on it I'm sure there are places to find them. Even this thread has some.
By all means wait for a discount if you like.

I'm curious, Curl-6...about your credentials. What titles were once the crown jewel of the EShop for you?

eShop rule #2: Don't buy delayed ports at full price, because you are getting ripped off. Wait for a discount; you will probably still pay more than on other systems, but at least the discrepancy in price isn't as drastic anymore.

If you wanna wait, cool, up to you.

I didn't want to, since the game appealed to me and I felt they'd done enough to earn my cash.
