I am a person who for the most part hates DLC but that DLC had like the best bosses in the game. Manus is such a awesome fight. Kalhmeet, Artorias are all so much fun.

The Artorias DLC was great. The DS2 DLC has been mostly a meh, good lore bits but the overall encounters have had many of the same flaws as what has been pervasive through the entirety of DS2's design.

Fume was good, though, so there's that.

A bit harsh, but I kind of agree with the sentiment. I'm not sure why people are so hyped for this game.

You never played or liked any of the dark souls games? Me personally I love games like this. The setting an atmosphere look awesome, the gameplay looks smooth, fluid and fun. If it is like the other dark souls games it will be a very nice challenge and as a plus it is a beauty to look at as well. Looks like an awesome game so of course people would be hyped for it. Now if it is not the type of game people prefer then I can understand the not being hype for it as well though. But why question why others are hyped for a game? That is what is odd to me why question why others are hype for a game?

We're all looking for good games to play right? So you want to be excited for the big upcoming games. Especially the exclusives coming to the consoles you own. So I want to get excited for the upcoming PS4 games like this, driveclub and The Order but I just can't see it.

Of course that's why I asked if you have ever played either of the Dark Souls games? Or like this type of setting/atomosphere in games. Because if you don't like either of those or have never played the Souls games then yeah this game more than likely wouldn't excite you. I mean nothing wrong with wanting good games to play but everyone won't like every good game.

For instance I do not like Halo, don't like Gran Turismo, don't like any of the latest Zelda games, am not a fan of the Witcher etc....but yet they are all still good games. So it is normal to not be excited or hyped over every big game or game that comes out! Nothing wrong with that at all.

I haven't played them no. The combat looks clunky and unresponsive and the gameplay looks repetitive. I was going to buy Dark Souls based purely on reviews to see what the fuss was about but multiple friends advised me not to. So no I haven't played them nor do I want to.

I played it last night. I might be out of touch but it was HARD, died like 10 times.

Some things i noticed, im not gonna talk graphics, framerate, res, cause its alpha and its pointless to talk about

The need to lock on to enemy's is (almost) gone. The way you move your character around is just alot more fluid then past souls games (for me anyway, idk about others)

Also there seems to be some sort of set dodge auto animations but it might only work for select monster attacks, for example there was this mini boss and when he would do a massive jump attack you press O and it would like auto controls where you dodged too, but this makes sense now because pressing O doesn't make you roll anymore, its like a different evade animation like a massive side step. I didn't really test it out, but if your locked on you do an evade step and if you aren't locked on you do a roll

You can string together combo attacks that use both ur unfransformed weapon and transformed weapon, a bit like this gif here (gif is not from alpha)

L1 by itself will transform your weapon but you can combo together R1,R1,L1,L1 to do 2 small untransformed attacks, then midway through the combo ull transform your weapon and do 2 heavy attacks. Im sure theres more combos you can do but i didnt mess around with it too much. Although it seems kinda hard to pull off because you need to time it just right and the smaller enemys die in 1-3 hits anyway

The soundtrack on this thing manages to top Dark Souls, thats kinda umbeliavable. Anyone knows whos the composer ?

Why would anyone watch 3hrs of gameplay from a single player title that they plan to play themselves? On the off chance that I ever do get a PS4, this'll be at the top of my list, so I'll just avoid this for now.

Exactly, I don't get that.

Looks quite alright. But I can't fucking take the awful foot steps which are not only inconsistent but also annoying as hell.
