Forums - Sony Discussion - Top 5 features the Playstation 4 needs!

I agree with 1, and 5. 2 and 4... not so much.

Organizing games in folders needs to come already. On PS3, it doesn't seem so cluttered, but based of what I've seen, Playstation Dynamic Menu does look cluttered with a lot of games. My guess is that the folder system will arrive with the MP3 support, since the music will also need to be organized in folders while on the PS4.

Wait, the PS4 doesn't have folders?! I'm actually a bit surprised by that! o.o

Here is what I want. I like your ideas too.

1. Expanded Bios. The current profile page is a joke. I would like something at least with as many characters as the WIi U in their profile. It would be nice if I could include a photo on top of it or a link to my blogs.

2. Acknowleged Games have been beaten. It could be as simple as expanding your idea of seeing trophies from the various systems we own and an option to click to see what games have been beaten or make a new additional system that allows you to see them. You could have no more than 30% trophies but it looks like we haven't beaten a particular game.

3. Calendar map. What am I talking about? The ability to set up your own events and for Sony and developers to set up their own. If there is going to be a big new session in a week on Destiny, you can see it on the Calender and you can mark a date for people on your friends' list to play a particular game with you. This though is also customizable by putting particular people on your calender and an option to accept peoples' calender events.

4. Lastly integrated leaderboards like what has been on the 360. A one place where you can see peoples' accomplishments for that added metagame inside us that wants to beat our friends' scores.

What do you think?

Does PS4 have the option to play videos and stuff from a portable HDD, yet? That's the one I used most on PS3.

1) Rear USB ports It's crazy and unsightly to only have front facing ports.
2) Better UI that makes more use of available screen space instead of having one thin row of pointless boxes. MS really are kings in this arena and Sony haven't really moved with the times on modern UI design.
3) Ability to play media via USB stick Should have been included at launch, even my microwave can play things of a USB.
4) Controller with replaceable batteries This is the one thing I can't get used to with my PS4; I'll be half way through a game of FIFA when the controller just dies with little to no warning. Being able to quickly pop in a set of AA batteries is a luxury I really miss when using the PS and serves no real design purpose to neglect that option.
5) Quieter fan Again MS have this in the bag, it's much quieter when using for things like Netflix.

External HHD storage, I'm shocked this feature has not been added yet(or if it will ever be added) does Sony expect us to be constantly delete and re-install games, no matter how fast the installation proccess is it still will be a pain in the ass. And on that note; enable the PS4 to read external HHD, got a bunch of movies,tv show, anime, music, **** and can't view on my PS4. How can they so behind on this!?

Personally Microsoft "used" to be kings in this field. I can't stand Microsoft's interface. I prefer the NXE. I think they screwed up a good thing. I think Sony improved theirs greatly. Each to their own but they will make use of the backgrounds. They did mention that a firmware update will allow themes.
