Xenoblade Chronicles is a game I've been wanting to play for a while but have been too lazy to look for since it's a bit rare for a Wii game. However, with the New 3DS coming out next year (and a pretty high chance it'll come to NA) I'm wondering if I should wait for that (I'm normally a handheld gamer anyway) or buy the Wii version?

The Wii version still looks better but the N3DS version will be way easier to find so I guess you could go with that.

Well... If you are getting a N3ds and you a mostly a handheld gamer, get the n3ds version cause u will probably enjoy it more but if u werent mostly a handheld gamer, I would rather suggest the wii version cause I think it looks better and the screen is bigger and it has better controller options

If you like playing on a handheld more than a tv, then i guess get the 3ds version. Graphics will probably be a wash, since the 3ds version will probably be lower res, but smaller screen + 3d will make that negligible...

Yeah my only problem with the N3DS versiom is the graphics. It looks... well to be blunt, not very good on N3DS XD Im hoping they can make it look a little better by the end.

Wii version is far superior, but is much more expensive and harder to find. Honestly, if you don't mind spending the extra $s, go for the Wii version.

If you are Ok with inferior visuals and frame-rate then you can go with the 3DS version! The problem is that the Wii version is also hard to find... :S

I am wondering though, do you think the N3DS version will be shortened because of its size? I mean, if things are going to be taken out because of the size of the game I may as well just get the Wii version
