Monolith Soft, because the projects they have worked on which include the Xeno series, Legend Of Zelda Skyward Sword and A Link Between Worlds, Project X Zone, Baten Kaitos, Soma Bringer, Smash Bros Brawl, and Super Robot Wars (japanese mech SRPGs) OG Saga and Exceed.

Giving credit where credit is due, Rare WAS amazing. They seemed to have nose dived in quality though while Monolith is still one of the greatest devs around. If it were 7 years ago, Rare easily.

The topic is Retro Studios, not Rare. ;)

I would say Monolith, just because of Xenoblade Chronicles.

Lol, and that's why drinking before posting is a bad idea.

On topic, that makes it even easier then. Still Monolith Soft because I liked the Metriod Prime series, but I really don't care for DK.

- Monolith made the best jrpg of last generation and has a very good portifolio pre-nintendo era.

- Retro is a not that great version of rare.

Xenoblade is an amazing game, but Retro made the Prime games so they win this one!

Monolith Soft any day.

Both developers make great games.

Metroid Prime 3 is one of the greatest Action-Adventures of last gen. Donkey Kong was great game too.

Monolith Soft made Xenoblade, the greatest (J)RPG of last gen. And they made Disaster: Day of Crisis. I loved this game too, even though it was not perfect. The graphics looks horrible in some areas. But it was full of genuine ideas and in some areas the graphics were great.

Now Retro had already made a Wii U game (Donkey Kong) that looks and plays gorgeous. I am not a big fan of Donkey Kong but I played it, because it is so good everyone could enjoy it. Xenoblade Chronicles X looks like it will even top the first one.

Retro no question. They release highly polished content. Monolith Soft are good, but they lack the same polish and the product suffers as a result. Retro release "Nintendo quality" games.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Monolith. Retro is good, Monolith made the best RPG of last gen, perhaps the best RPG in 15 years or more, and one of the greatest games of both last gen and all time. Xenoblade is near-flawless. I would buy a console just to play another game of that caliber for 100 hours. They are what Square once was to me.

Retro by default simply because I've never played Xenoblade.

I'm not paying $90 for any Wii game, f**k NOA for giving it such a limited release. Will check out Xenoblade X on Wii U.
