It seems they tried to deny PSN was down until it was too obvious

"We are aware that some users are experiencing difficulty enjoying the PSN. We have confirmed the PSN is stable. If you are having trouble, we encourage you to contact your internet service provider."

I hope for their sake that this time they will announce the eventual leak of personal data before it becomes too obvious

*rollseyes*

So typical. You clearly didn't read anything on this thread and are obviously ignorant as to what a DDoS attack is. These morons didn't get access to Sony's database.
They overloaded the servers with traffic. Nothing more.

keyword : "eventual"

From the twitter account:

"Sony, yet another large company, but they aren't spending the waves of cash they obtain on their customers' PSN service. End the greed."

So first you bring the service down through DDoS attack and now you act like consumer advocates, lol how about you go fuck yourself?

LOL "End the Greed."  That is hilarious considering there are far greedier companies out there.  These guys are just attention whores, plain and simple.

WTF. I didn't say that. The message:

"We are aware that some users are experiencing difficulty enjoying the PSN. We have confirmed the PSN is stable. If you are having trouble, we encourage you to contact your internet service provider."

was there for days before the attack. Did you miss the part where I said BEFORE ALL OF THIS HAPPENED!!

No. That "update" is from last week when some people with specific ISPs were having issues with PSN and the problem was indeed with ISPs, not PSN. It was dated 15th August, which is when that happened. I'm not surprised that forum goers can't read but journalists really should...know how to read.

They only later changed the page to reflect today's situation and they never denied anything.
