I was going to bump them today... but playing Mario Kart xD

I would say published worldwide. If it was published by Nintendo everywhere then it's 1st party, if it's just localised in Europe then 3rd. But that's how I see it.

Under that criteria...

Ninja Gaiden 3 is third party

The Wonderful 101 is first party

Lego City Undercover is first party

I would have to adjust my numbers, as I counted NG3 as first party

But the percentages won't change that much for just one game. Specially with the collection you have, no?

True, it increases from 73% to 77% but it is still on the same range, even if I take into account the 3rd party game that is on the way it only moves to 78%, still I will update the entry, now I have a Tecmo-Koei game in my collection, I think is my first one in the last 10 years!

You do play your games right? Not just collecting them. Does importing make you purchase more or less?

I try... I am finishing 2 games monthly and purchasing 2 or less, so right now is balanced but I do have a backlog of around 39 unfinished games.

Importing allows me to buy many more games as the prices here are ridiculous and the availability sucks for example any new game costs around  84 U$ and they never reduce price (Assassin's Creed 3 still costs 84 U$), also the distributor did not brought any copies of Batman Arkham City or Arkham Origins, Injustice, Deus Ex, Call of Duty Ghosts, Assassin's Creed IV and so on.

There was a point when I was out of control in my purchases (around 2012), but now I am buying less and trying to finish more, but by my numbers I could stop buying games today and I will be still playing new games from my collection till 2017.

Sorry for the late update. Was busy the week I was supposed to do it, and after that on a trip...

First decided to go back to the old Wii polls from 2010 and 2013. I noticed there was no option for non-voters, so I thought that could have skewed some results (I tried to make a new one as a base, but it got nearly no votes). From those two I picked 2010 as it is not at the end of the generation, plus it had more votes/posts.

Decided to do a comparison and there are some differences between the posts and the poll, but both show that the average collection was around 50-50.

With the improved poll used on this thread, I see less differences between posts and the poll; although the poll votes are more skewed to lower percentages. Comparing the results from both the Wii and WiiU polls we see the following.

The VCGz WiiU collections are more first party focused than those of the Wii. Reasons? I did make the Wii poll four years after it launched, and this poll has been done half of that. Or do you think that the quantity or quality of third party releases is the reason for this? I myself noticed I was always in the 41-60% range with the Wii, meanwhile I'm currently in the 21-40% for the WiiU.
