Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Zelda U: it might actually support motion controls!

I'd love it if they brought in optional motion controls.

Optional motion plus controls would be amazing.

Definitely

If it's optional, fine. If I have to move my gamepad around like an idiot while trying to fire arrows...

                                                                                                               You're Gonna Carry That Weight.

Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC

As long as they're optional. SS kept reacting to my back swing doing the opposite motion as I intended. A success rate of 80% for swings and 40% for stabs was frustrating.
Plus I'm just playing windwaker HD again and I love to be able to look around. 2 analog sticks are much nicer for movement and looking around. Btw Windwaker HD already uses the gyro in the gamepad for aiming.

Anyway I doubt they're going to make 2 versions, 1 for gamepad and 1 for wii motion+. They don't mix after all.

I am all for motion controls, it's actually why i liked skyward sword so much. truth be told, i never want to go back from that.

As long as it's optionnal, OK.

But the motion controls in SS were awful, and also gimmickly used in the game and badly used. Too much used for the sword, and not enough during fun moments like the free falls which were too short and completely scripted.

Also if they could better integrate the tutorials, or making it also optionnal, also if the useless text could be displayed faster or if we really had an option to ignore those walls of text, would be great.

I don't know, use those billions to hire actors? Having to press "A" one million time on useless dialogues is terrible and too much of a chore.

Skyward Sword made my arm hurt.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

That was my first thought. And second thought.

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

Optional controls, yes.

Mandatory controls, no. I already own a Wiimote, but I'd like to be able to use the GamePad only, please. I'm fine with it on the GamePad, though.

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

:3

It wont...it will use the Gamepad. This was simply conjecture on GameXplain's part @.@
