WiiU's much anticipated exclusive just launched in Japan and France's most respectable website Gamekult grabbed an import copy and reviewed it.

Pros

Well integreted Zelda traditional features, boss fights, upgrades, Coop & Adventure mode, Zelda universe well rendered, cutscenes

Cons

Repetitive as hell, graphically underwhelming, dumb AI, mute characters, some missions are too long, too few characters, no online multiplayer

For comparison, Gamekult awarded PS4 Dynasty Warriors 8 a 5/10

Meanwhile, Japanese players are eagerly playing the game, but report numerous freezes and frame rate drops.

yea, as I expected it is a more charming looking musou game

I read in a japanese amazon user review that it get's really tiring to have that watch that complete treasure chest opening scene again and again (can't skip it) - considering how many chests I got in Dynasty Warriors Next I can see that being a problem.

I cannot believe ANYTHING till I get my copy. Excuse me, but Japanese aren't the smartest nor French regarding games.

gamexplain on youtube played the game japanese version for over 6 hours live and there were no freezes or drops.

Bolded is pretty much what the Musou series is all about. Maybe they should pick their reviewers more carefully.

I mean that's like letting someone with severe motion sickness and and acrophobia review Starfox.

Seems like they have never played a dynasty warriors...
I wouldn't care too much about their opinion, GameXplain streamed the game for like 10 hours total now and really enjoyed it. I normally agree with their opinion so i'll wait until they have a review out.
