Its still tracking a bit behind the first Iron Man movie but over 300 million plus is possible its still tracking behind Man of Steel also but that movie had terrible legs it should have made over 300 million but only managed a little more then 291 million.

i said by monday (was using the monday projections) ;)

Even if it doesn't finish with 318m like IM (i think it probably will) its having a great run, and by the new releases it will continue to have good numbers till October.

it ranked 8th for the 5th weekend of all time just behind The Dark Kinight! ofc this weekend was inflated thanks to labors day.

Box Office Mojo is predicting that it will make at least $300 million now.  Should be the top movie again next weekend also, there is really nothing that is on the same level coming out until Interstellar opens on November the 7th.

yeah, if you check others movies that opened early August like rush hour 2, bourne ultimatum, signs, they did 9m, 10m and 13m on the Labors day weekend, and they added around 30m+ each till the end of its run, since guardians did 16m there is a good chance it add from 35m to 50m by the end of its run, lets just see if it holds at around 40% to 42% next weekend:)

I was shocked when I found out most movie theaters in my town had already stopped actually showing this movie. From what I've seen, there's only 2 more places where you can go watch it in English, and these are probably only keeping it up for another week.

I'll be going to the cinema and watch it for a 5th and final time on Wednesday... from then on, I might as well start some sort of rehab

I wish they would have had some theaters that showed movies in English when I was growing up as a kid in Germany since the voice over talent in Germany when it comes to live action movies is not that great.  Most foreign animated shows that came on television had pretty good voice actors but for most movies they didn't even try to come close to find people that sounded close to the orginal actors.

from what i've seen and heard I think german voice over is the best in the world..I liked it especially movies from the 90s terminator 2 probably my favorite..and they certainly do rule imo when it comes to asian movies.

Well from what I remembered most of the voice acting for movies was sub par.  I have Platoon on Blu ray which includes the German voice track which is a exelent example of the sub par voice over work that I remember from my childhood none of the actors sound even close to their American counterparts not only that the voice actors they choose don't fit the characters in the movie.
