We'll see, I mean it's kind of delusional of Nintendo fans to think that the core gamer looks at Nintendo's 2015 lineup and sees something really attractive to them. I mean there's Zelda and that's about it...

TheLastStarFighter said: Right now it looks like U will outsell One because it is a better value proposition -- I don't really care about the sales to date. Essentially, there is very little reason to buy a One over a 4. Most consumers will choose the 4 since it's the superior product given that the libraries are almost identical. However, the U offers a different product at a lower price with a different library. Some consumers will choose this option instead of a 4 or perhaps in addition to their 4. This is a broad generalization and One is going to sell some systems, but I think in the grand scheme it will hold true for now. This could all change dramatically with new product, services or marketing and One could be on top of the industry by next year. |
No, it could not. Although there's alot yet to happen in this gen, it's obvious that the One wont pass the PS4 any time soon (most likely ever).
Guys, cannot we wait until the holidays to have a better picture as to where everything is heading?

Its for core gamers who want something different. Its a great secondary console.

Yea I don't know what people are smoking but there are great exclusives on PS4 AND Xbox one. Personally I want to get Xbox one just for forza horizon 2, but we'll see about that when it launches.

Right and that's probably true, but is that really such a huge market?

I dont know.
The X1 has huge 3rd party support, Call Of Duty, Final Fantasy, Battlefield, Far Cry, The Witcher, GTA and hundreds of more AAA 3rd party games will allow the X1 to easily overtake the Wii U by the end of the year. What is a small number of AAA Nintendo games against full 3rd party AAA support. The only problem is that 3rd party players are always better off with the more powerful PS4.
