Forums - Sony Discussion - So The Last Of Us: Remastered requires 50GB for installation.

50GB for a linear game like this is a bit staggering.

Did they just not even bother to do any optimization and/or compression?

50 GB,its ok I just have 2 games on my ps4

VITA 32 GIG CARD.250 GIG SLIM & 160 GIG PHAT PS3

Well that is what happens when you use high quality 1080p60fps video for your cut-scenes.

plus dem high-res textures! :)

Looking forward, first Naughty Dog Next Gen Game should be a blast, even if it's just a port. I don't care about space all that much, just get yourself a bigger hard drive, if you really need to. They are not that expensive and I think we should be happy that wie have the Option. Remember spending 30 bucks on a 8 MB (yeah, Megabytes!) Memory Card? Those were the days everyone is praising today. :P

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

thank God is not on Wii U. it doesn't even comes with that internal memory.

50GB is too much . it is basically the PS3 version made remastered by the extra downloaded!

What a pain in the ass. Going all digital this gen is becoming worse and worse.

...it's the same if you buy physical

Really!? .......... wait what.... I know most games need a few GB to install if you buy retail but Fifty. Best to up graded you SSD hardrive when you get the chance.

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

Wolfenstein was 44GB

NBA 2K14 - 42GB

Killzone 38GB

MLB 14 - 38GB

Battlefield 4 - 36GB (and who knows how much with all add-ons and updates, probably close to 60GB

I don't know why people are so shocked with this. At least you can upgrade your hard drive hassle-free, and it's not like you must keep all the games installed.

Yeah, its not that bad if its fast to install. Had to remove several installed games from my 60GB PS3...

Yikes, that's huge!
