I'm guessing that last gen console wars will be the most brutal. The mix of the internet, and the fact that their sales were so close I think will make fanboyism be more rampant than this one. But who knows, this would could turn out being far worse.

The only console war I remember is the 7th Gen one since thats when I started really gaming XD I remember all of the kids in my class always arguing about the PS3 vs. 360 :p I wasn't even alive during the SNES vs Genesis wars v.v so I have no real point of reference for any other console war.. so 7th was the best one for me

I think $th generation because the Sega Empire has fallen in this Gen.

Today's console wars are a joke against the brutal days of SNES vs Mega Drive. Back in the days, you saw your opponent eye to eye while today, you're only staring at wall of texts or some losers at youtube who think that their opinion is so important that it has to be heard by millions of people. We didn't have that. We fought our battles ourselves on the playground. And if you brought a GameGear there, you really had balls of steel!

Also, what's there to fight about? PS4 and X1 are basically the same. And nobody cares about Nintendo anymore anyway. *jk* ;)

SNES vs Genesis is the battle of battles.
And if you know me you'd know that I think the Genesis 'won'.

Wait, people honestly believe that Wii vs 360 vs PS3 was the most brutal war? Not 6th gen, where Dreamcast gotten absolutely eaten up by the PS2? Or 4th gen, with all the animosity between the manufacturers?

The way Sony won with PS1/Ps2 were very brutal times. The first because no one expected PS1 to win so massively and the second because PS2 managed to stay so far ahead. Here in Europe there was no GC and no XB, only PS2 :D
