If 9m was a true sell through number Sony would be shouting it from the rooftops, yet we've heard nothing official. Its either shipped (likely) or a false leak.

Yeah like you said it's not official and even if it could very well be shipped (though that would be the first time Sony announced PS4 numbers as shipped), we'll know more when their quarterly results come out.

What? They haven't announced 9, it was supposedly leaked from a meeting, 10m will get announced and 9 won't but that doesn't change the fact they could be at 9m shipped right now.

I am impressed at what MK8 has done for Wii U. 3rd tier countries for Xb one will largely make up that weekly difference unless Wii U pulls ahead or Xb one falls further behind.

If Xb one languishes in 3rd place after tier 3 countries I wonder what their next step will be? Destiny will probably boost PS4 more, but it will give Xb one a leg up too.

I think Nintendo is pretty comfortable right now. They're happy to be outselling PS4 in Japan for now, and they are doing OK numbers elsewhere.

Oh I see, well if it sold through 9m by that point the sales would still be going huge and record breaking. They announced 5 and 7m so if they announced 9m it wouldn't be unordinary. As it is 9m sell through hasn't been reached yet so it doesn't matter anyway
