-

We simply do not need threads like this, from sites that post them for hits. Obvious, rubbish bait. Nothing good can come from it. Locking.

What I dont get: why are people posting provoking Clickbait-Articles without even commenting on it at first?

I have commented to another user in direct reply to the substance of this article. Therefore I am taking part in this discussion. I have had  discussions in the past with mods about posting articles with no comments on them. I posted the source where it came from and posted a comment in the actual thread. Now, is there any other issues you have since you're just an expert on the rules here with your 6 post count?

What has my post-counter to do with that? Im just thinking about your INTENTION of posting that.

You commented AFTER someone reacted. Why? What was you intention to post that link apart from flaming? Sorry, but seeing that Pics included in your post, thats nothing else than flaming WHEN you dont show your own opinion on that. And even when u replied, your reply was exactly ONE sentence. makes sense huh?

I commented after someone "posted" because that's how a discussion starts. That user did not reply to me as of yet. I stated my opinion to him in one line, I'm not going to bombard that user with a story book especially after the article was just posted. My intention was to gauge opinions on the selections and to start a discussion in a "Forum". Something you don't seem to want to do, rather then to get pissy about the article itself. (Which I am not the author of)   If you don't like it, don't post in it, simple as that..

Thanks for giving me buyers remorse. I knew the very minute I bought that Xbone it was just going to end up being a failure. All this constant talk about graphics sucking makes me ashamed to play any games. Why would I want to play Destiny now when everyone is on PS4? *thoroughly depressed*

Xbone... the new "N" word   Apparently I troll MS now | Evidence | Evidence

He broke it down intellectually. You can't counter it.

Actually there is plenty you can counter so let me just throw some stuff in there.  Just for the record I do not have an X1, probably will not have an X1 until who knows when but thats because I purchased the PS4.

First thing I like to ask is why does it matter if the PS4 is outselling the X1.  As long as the X1 sells at a decent pace, MS is willing to invest in their first and 2nd party studios which they are, and you still get all the 3rd party games that come out what is the big deal.  Only fanboys care about who sells the most, gamers only care if their hardware is supported!!

Layoffs:  First you have to understand about business to even make comments on this subject.  MS just took on 30K employees when they bought out Nokia.  Nokia is a huge company with a global arm.  A lot of those employyees do the same thing as MS employees.  The majority of the hits will be happening on the Nokia side.  In the process MS has closed down 1 studio which is the TV/Entertainment studio.  MS will also be removing positions at their Reading site which are the people that do marketing for Xbox and other business Units.  Now the plus side.  MS is still hiring people to their 1st party studios.  There are a number of positions out there you can easily research.  MS is also still hiring for positions for their Xbox hardware team.  What that tells you is that MS is shifting their focus on core games and extending their hardware while removing pieces that gamers did not care about like the TV/Entertainment studio.

Now on the PS end, there have been a number of people layed off from high profile studios like Santa monica and a few high profile developers leaving Sony 1st party studio.  In the last 2 years, Sony closed down 3 1st party studios in the same time frame MS opened about 4 new studios.

What does this mean, both MS and Sony have had to layoff people but only Sony is laying off people within their gaming studios.  Basically it means that both companies are probably clearing out staff to become leaner and make a profit.  It the large scheme of things companies have to do this especially large companies because its so easy to just hemorrhage money because you have a lot of bloat in positions.

Destiny:  Currently playing the beta now and I have to say I was not going to get the game at first but I am enjoying what it offers.  For a halo player like myself Bungie did a lot of things right and the controls feel pretty solid on the PS4.  With that said, the game is coming out for all systems and its just another 3rd party game.  Just because COD is mostly played on the 360 would anyone not purchase a PS3.  Destiny will be a hit on all systems and if Bungie is able to make the X1 version look just as good as the PS4, then I really do not see anything that makes this a reason to trade your X1 for.

Point 3:  The PS4 trade in value is even better, go figure.

Point 4:  I agree that the X1 graphics probably will not be better than the PS4.  Since this is a personal preference, I have to say I really do not care.  I bought my PS4 because it was cheaper and it had the games I and my son wanted to play now.  When all is said and done, I am a gamer not a graphics whore.  I care more about the games that are coming to a system not how many pixels.  Also you bring up the subject that the beta will not be 1080P but forget that Bungie stated the final game (which is way more important) will be.  Yes the X1 probably will not look the best out of the 2 consoles and probably will look slightly worst at other times but if its anything like it was with the 360 and PS3, most gamers will probably not care.  At this point in time, the exclusives will determine which system you get more than 1080P Vs 900 or something around that area.

PS4 Vision etc.  Neither console is going anywhere.  One thing for sure is that because MS is on the bottom they are putting in the most effort at this point.  MS is the one hiring more developers for their games and also hiring more developers and engineers to enhance their hardware.  MS is the only company at this point with doing updates each month for their console and adding request features customers are looking for.

Why people still have this illusion that the sole focus of the PS4 is games because last I checked, Sony E3 sure showed a different side.  Sony sole focus is making money, gaining profit, using the PS4 to deliver it services like TV, Movies, Music and PSN.  These are the same things MS is doing with the X1.  The difference is that Sony told you they are only focused on games while MS straight up told you they are doing media with games.  One company told you what you wanted to hear while the other told you what they are doing.

Since Phil became head of the Xbox division, I would say that MS vision for the Xbox became more clear.  Phil stated that they are going back to the original vision of the X1 and so far the moves they have made shows it.  Removing Kinect as a mandatory feature of the X1, getting rid f the TV/Entertainment unit shows that MS has realize that getting the core gamers first is the best strategy (They learned that from Sony).  The things you see as a negative, I see as a refocus on what is important to the Xbox brand.  I actually give some kudos to MS from changing a huge ship around as fast as they did.  It nearly took Sony a complete console Generation when they got ahead of themselves.
