Forums - Sony Discussion - Where's Suikoden 2?

Hey guys, in late April there were many articles confirming an ESRB rating for Suikoden 2 on PS3 which implied a PSN release. But since then, the ESRB rating is no longer on the official ESRB website and Konami hasn't said anything about it.

So I was just wondering whether this game will still come out on PSN. I hear that it might've been a typo but I find it really hard to believe that there would be a typo on a PS1 classic on an ESRB website.

Was it just a mistake or will the game come out? Just how long does a PS1 classic take to come out on PSN from when it's confirmed an ESRB?

I really want to play this game but I don't want to shell out around $150.

There quite a few RPG gems missing from the PSN library sadly. Where's Lunar 2?!?!?!!!??! Thank goodness i still own almost all the gems from the PS1 because the price tags on some of them are outrageous!

The internet would explode as well as PSN.
I think they're keeping it for TGS .... to announce a PS1 game, like they did with Legend of Dragoon
NEXT GEN!

Yah, it's weird how Suikoden 2 isn't on PSN but the original Suikoden has been for the past 5-6 years.

I've never played any of the Lunar games myself but I hear great things about them, especially Silver Star Story.

Yah, even Dragon Warrior 7 isn't on the PSN and since it's likely that the 3DS remake won't get a localization, it wouldn't kill Square to release the game on PSN.

It does seem a little odd to announce a PS1 classic at a major gaming show like that but hey, I'm hoping that it's confirmed somewhere down the line.

You should definitely play the Lunar series. There's only 3 games, so it wouldn't take awhile to play them.

Lunar 1 [Sega CD,PS1,GBA,PSP,Mobile] Go with the PSP remake version, it's by far the best of all them.

Lunar 2 [Sega CD,PS1] PS1 version is the best. Set 1000 years after the first game.

Lunar Dragon Song [DS] Sorta meh all around. Set 1000 years before the first game.

Sorry to get off topic but i love the Lunar series :D Anyways it's a shame that some of the best games on the PS1 are still not on PSN, i'm sure it would drive the price down on some of them online as well.

The value of my PS1 copy would tank, so I'm good with this.

I'd rather the game be available for a wider auidence than retaining over priced market value :P

It is in the backroom at Konami, while they repeatedly kick everyone in the nuts.

The best game of all time being kept away from so many people, is nothing but a crime. It would be easy money for them. So many people who physically own it will pick it up again and so many people who have heard about how good it is will jump straight in.

They are fucking clueless.

Konami is a shell of it's former self. It's a difference of night and day. Something is wrong with that company and I don't know what blackmail they have on Kojima but's he's the only thing keeping them afloat right now.

Don't expect anything good from those people, especially the good stuff they did 15+ years ago.
