True, but the 3DS has already sold well in Japan. If it's still dominating even after it hit it's peak, that's pretty good.

True that, hopefully they find a way to keep 3ds sales afloat (new model?). Have they ever did a price cut yet on the XL?

It's more that traditional video game systems hit their peak in Japan.  The best selling Video Games list on Amazon isn't a very good metric when mobile is dominating in Japan.

But Armored Core.

I still remember that some people wanted to bury 3DS too early.

But will these future games cause a resurgence of 3DS hardware? That's the real question. Nintendo expects 12 million 3DS consoles sold worldwide by the end of their financial year, slightly less expected than what they sold last year, and Japan in particular is already behind signifcantly from last year, as is the rest of the world. These future games are probably not going to cause significant bumps in hardware aside from usual bumps release week. Most of the Smash Bros. audience is likely already on 3DS, so that's not going to cause an increased baseline, neither is Pokemon. Youkai Watch 2? I dont think so, if Youkai Watch 1 didnt do it, that wouldnt do it either. Other than a price cut, or with a redesign (like DSi), can games like these increase the baseline at all?
