Forums - Sony Discussion - Bloodborne is a system seller. Here is why.

Honestly if you guys just could see the footage that was showed behind closed door at E3. You would become believers as well. I think I will move between 250k and 350k new consoles and 1.4 million games in the first week. Combined numbers of +- 1.7 million.

wait, did you saw the footage?, i know there is an off screen video of said footage but you sound like you were actually there.

I don't see it, looks like a random game to me, graphics aren't that impressive, art direction/immersion is bland, so is the gameplay...

What particular appeal do you see so that it becomes a "system seller" ?

You can't be serious here. I can let it slide with the gameplay because it isn't everyones cup of tea but the art dirrection, immersion and graphics talk is crazy. All of that looks fantastic in this game and immersion has always been among the best when it comes to the Souls games.

I'm sorry but no. A game with monsters set in a dark London? A Souls like gameplay? Art direction we've seen many times and here it looked bland, not bad, just seen.

As for the graphics, well except it looked like the CG trailer, it folows suit...it's unimpressive.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I think it looks amazing in every aspect (even graphics which previewers have been saying was blowing them away) and any Souls fan will love this game too.

Just stop. The only system sellers for consoles are FPS games. BloodBorne will be lucky to push 2 million copies. 1.5 even seems like a stretch. It depends on other things as well.

Performing less than demon's Souls even when it was a new IP and not as well known? That's a stretch.

Will sale similarly to the Darks Souls series, won't move much consoles, not mainstream enough of a game, unless From Software drastically change the gameplay to make it more accessible.

If this is what i have seen,,, then i will obey ,
This looks really good to me.

Yeah i saw the whole freaking thing behind closed doors. The leaks are so crap, so much quality has been lost. The game is absolutly a killer game.

Its not going to sell better than Dark Souls, so probably 2.5 million max. Probably will do worse cause if it strays from the souls formula.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

It may help that it's not called a Soul game actually. Its Bloodborne, not Bloodborne souls. Could remove some of the "super super hard" stigma that the souls series has.
