Following retail leaks and a torrent of teases, Mortal Kombat X was officially announcedthis morning by Ed Boon, creative director of NetherRealm studios. The game had previously leaked on retail sites for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC platforms for 2015.

The ultra-violent fighting series had new life beat into it following Warner Bros. acquisition of the franchise in 2009, with the 2011 reboot a critical and financial success.

not much of a MK fan but hopefully injustice 2 or Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe 2 will follow in couple years.

Cross gen in 2015, not like. But in a fighting game it may not make that much of a difference, so not a big deal. Overall good, even though I'm not a fan of MK mechanics, MK9 was undeniably good and this one hopefully is as well.
