Forums - Sales Discussion - Global HW 10th May up! US/UK Software up.

These numbers are gonna be pointless till npd now. But at least software is somehow accurate... the show doing pretty good, better than ps3+vita combined.

Software is terrible too, they have games sales for games that never got released.

Maybe, but certainly they are not so off like Xb1 lately...

Sales are dropping a little bit, and XBone is getting lower and lower. Really surprised MS announced the $50 pricedrop for June so early....it will decimate sales until E3....and what happens if Sony pop up with a $50 pricedrop to counter it......it could be the end.

Prediction (June 12th 2017)

Permanent pricedrop for both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro in October.

PS4 Slim $249 (October 2017)

PS4 Pro $349 (October 2017)

Alright vgchartz. Let's see those adjustments after over tracking X1 by over 100k last month. While you're at it, the Last of Us needs to be adjusted as well since you know Sony confirmed it sold 6M!

PS4 won't catch Wii U in Japan. Both will sell low numbers and it will take more than the lifetime of this generation for PS4 to haul in that 1 year head start gap (1.2 million currently), even if PS4 outsells Wii U most weeks.

LMAo yes it will and very easily, when FFm Kingdom hearts, tales and other games come iw will easily, thats ridiculous. Japan is always very slow moving to a new gen.

I've worked at the DB before. I believe that VG numbers ,outside of relatively big software releases and hardware, are not based on any data. That's why a small mistake in the inputted release date causes false data to appear. their estimations are base on the genre of the game and past trend of the franchise for most games, no more.

What's the deal with not tracking certain releases despite them showing up in various official charts?

To much work , perhaps?

Hate to break it for you, but VGchartz is clearly not a priority for the owner anymore, in case you haven't noticed yet.

I remember the last ioi was active he complained about the state of the community and said he was going to try and fix things. Of course then he disappears for another 6 months.

Not before ofending Pezus and some other members.

Adjustment bump for PS4 HW and SW? Theres no other way I can think to explain that boost (unless I'm missing something).
