XBO sales are fine, but yeah they could be better. First step should be to make that $50 price cut official and make sure a free game is always bundled with the console. That'll give them a good value proposition to keep them competitive with Sony.

What about making that permanent would change the fact that for the last 3 weeks or so it HAS been permanent and nothing has changed.  It hasn't gone away yet so that seems pretty permanent to me.  I wont be wrong until the price goes back up to $499 w/o a game.

In the UK & USA, ps4 is not outselling xbox one by that much weekly..i would not say they are "bad"..

ps4 is all over europe, xbox one is not.

"ps4 is all over europe, xbox one is not."

Do you think that is the XB1 was out "all over europe" that it would make much of a difference? I am asking because it just seems like the PS consoles sell better over there in general.

But I say the XB1 is not doing bad by any means. Better than the 360 at this same point at time and moving and selling faster than the Wii U(which even with more games AND a cheaper price can't outsell the PS4 or the XB1 which is crazy). So I am sure MS wants it to be selling better than it is but I do not think the XB1 is selling bad at all.....in UK and USA that is. When it releases WW in Sept we will get a clearer picture even though I do not think it will be a huge difference from what we are seeing now personally.

Xbox one is not doing too well in europe mostly because of the price. It's fact.

Are you seriously telling me if xbox one was sold in 54 countries. @399..it will have the same sale figures? o_0

only  the delusional ones think that price and more countries won't have an impact

But this thread is about current sales.  So hypotheticals don't matter. Its not in 54 countries and its not 399.  Plus with the 20% boost other countries would give it, much wouldnt be changed.  They can still only produce a certain amount so more sells in the other 30 or so countries would mean less is US/UK.  Which is EXACTLY why Microsoft delayed the other countries.

"hypotheticals don't matter." lol ..it matters when people are making "doom" threads like this without looking at the big picture.

I never said anything about price and neither did you. I just asked if you really felt that it would make that much of a difference in the sales comparison between it and the PS4 if it was out in the same number of countries.. I definitely never said the sales would not increase. I just don't think it will be the jump that some people are expecting it to be. Then the XB1 is NOT 399 so that is irrelevant even though of course it would have a sales impact if it was.I don't think anyone has ever said that a price drop plus more countires would not have a sales impact...you just made that part up lol.

You kind of disregarding my question and went another direction talking about delusional people lol. I was just curious geez lol

Xbox sales although not as good as ps4 are still very good. No concerns.

I think the issue is ppl are thinking in relative terms. Xbone sales relative to PS4 are bad, Xbone sales in absolute terms are actually pretty good.

Hypotheticals never matter.  For people predicting doom or defending it.  FACT is Xbox is not saling as predicted.  For a company not to meet forcasts is BAD (at least to that company and people with a company mindset).  NOthing else really matters. I don't, you don't.  How Microsoft feels is the only fact.  We all have OPINIONS.  But if we take ourself out and look at this through microsoft lens (I forcasted x systems sold at $499, that didnt happen so I cut price temporarily and forcasted x sold with a game bundled, that didnt happen, so I'm looking into further measures) the Xbox one is doing Bad.

Xbox One in US alone has more HW sold than 360 WW at the same time. Also it took Wii U a year to get to 4 million. Xbox One did that in 4 months while being $200 more. Xbox One is not doomed. Its just not selling what the PS4 is selling.

It's important to remember that the Xbox One had a much better first two months. Since 2014 started the Xbox One is behind the 360 by 120K units through the end of march. That gap will also likely grow next month as sales of the Xbox One drop back to where they were before TF.

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Also I like how you ignored the fact consoles shipped to 30 new countries (that Sony dominates) would take consoles off shelves in countries Xbox usually dominates due to production numbers not increasing just because you ship in more countries.

What bugs me are Wii U apologists who are trying to pretend the Xbox One is doing as badly as the Wii U. I have both, but I can tell the difference between 14,000 and 66,000.

The Xbox One isn't doing as bad as the WiiU. But where did you get 66k vs. 14k?

only  the delusional ones think that price and more countries won't have an impact

Only delusional ones think that more countries, most of which have populations smaller than many US states, will have a big impact. The example I continually give is that yea, if you release in.....Costa Rica or Denmark, that's "more countries", but that's tantamount to saying "If the XBone releases in Massachusetts, sales will skyrocket!", and that's just silly.

And yes, price is indeed a factor (for any product), but that didn't stop the expensive PS3 from completely dominating Europe (over the 360). If it was possible for a €599 PS3 to outsell a cheaper 360, then don't blame price for the XBone selling so poorly there. Maybe Europe just isn't as receptive to the Xbox brand, period (like Japan).

Sigh, you do know 500 unit in those little countries would add up in the chartz right?  Sigh..

Forgive me for not reducing the quote tree. My work computer only can use Internet Explorer and the HTML goes crazy if I tinker with it.

Anyway, I realize that 500 units would add up. Just 1 units in each country would "add up" but I'm saying that it's not gonna sell that much. "Rest of the World" only made up like 15% of 360s sales (I believe that was the number in a thread I saw last week, calculating the possible impact of XBone releasing in the remaining markets). Couple that with the fact that the XBone is selling worse than the 360 (yes it is. People need to realize that "its sold more than 360 in the same timeframe" is misleading as 75% of those sales came in the first month and a half, riding off 360s success, whereas 360 had the hype of PS2s successor to deal with. People held off buying a 360 because of that. I don't remember 360 selling 85k a week, 5 months after release) and even at 15%, is that an "impact"? Chances are, "rest of the world" will be even less than 15% for XBone. There's reason to believe that XBone will only sell 10-15k-ish more a month once it releases in "Tier 2/3" countries.
