Mods want feedback, so here is your chance to get feedback from the community.  Listen to what we are saying before locking it.  Listen to if we agree with your decisions, and we do have the right to do that.

Before you lock this thread i want to see if the people of VGC supports the mods on this decision.  And that is really what it comes down to.  If the "mods" have faith in their decision then let this stay up to see if the community supports your guys decision.

First off Tbone made a thread for the VGC community to get together to play Super Smash Bros 4 on 3DS.  All you had to do is sign up and then Tbone would add your Friend Code to the list.  Sounds harmless right?  I thought so too, wait it was locked......Why do you ask?  Well i had to ask myself that as well.

So Tbone makes a 2nd thread saying "Serious Question, Why Cant I Make A Thread (List) of Friend Codes From Everybody on VGC Without It Being Locked Up?"

Here it appears the mods have an issue with him making a thread that has Friends codes on it, but wait he is asking people before he puts their friends codes up.  In no way shape or form was he putting somebody's friend codes on a list without their permission.

Scroll down a little further and you see Mr Khan say this before locking the thread and banning Tbone51 on top of that

But wait!  If you click the links it goes to a WiiU friend thread, and a officiol 3DS friend code thread lol  What this means is there is no kind of thread about Smash Bros social ativities.  Just take a look at how popular the Pokemon Friend Safari got.  That would have never been achieved in either one of those threads....Why?  Because they are not dedicated to Pokemon.  

One last thing.  Everything on this site that is exclusively Xbox, PS, and Nintendo are worhless.  All should be locked because we have dedicated threads for those.  XBO Nation, PS Nation, and NintenDomination has you covered.  VGC must lock all threads outside those three, they must go to the officiol threads.....

Tbones behavior after his thread was locked was ban worthy, so i support the mods on that. I think they could have come to a compromise on the thread issue, maybe. Dont really know all that was said there. Still, tbone knew his behavior was ban worthy, he kept saying he was going to get banned. He should be banned.

I don't necessarily agree with the mods all the time, but I don't agree with Tbone in this case if he was warned already that he couldn't do something, no matter how harmless could it be.

So I'm with the mods on this one. Sorry Jay!

I understand he wanted his own game specific FC/NID threads, but the moderators said they didn't want that. He was warned and it was discussed multiple times. He went ahead and did it anyway. He was practically asking to be banned.

Im fine with the ban, what im not fine with is locking these threads

Yea and what I dont like is the fact that they think that the threads should have been joined together when they were comepletely and entirely different.

He warned and pretty much told of the consequences and still went ahead and did so I'll have to side with the mods on this one.

I get why tbone was banned, but I don't understand why the mods don't want a Smash Bros centric thread. The current Friendcode thread is basically dead and it's far too broad for just one game.

I'm pretty sure they told him to not start multiple threads with the game so far from release. They didn't want to clutter the forums, and as I said earlier, there's no reason they couldn't have the discussion in the other threads dedicated to linking users together on 3DS/Wii U. If didn't want that, then he could just have used the official Smash thread of which I'm sure there's one.

Went ahead and messaged Axum about the situation. Obviously I dont know the full story but it seems kinda bull shit how this was all treated, especially the responses he received from the mods. Not once was one of the reasons good enough to lock his threads.
