Spider man movies are horrible movies that do well financially. The Amazing Spider man is a new level of horrible. It won't be long before they change their minds if the next one is anything like it.

If it works, which I doubt it will for longer than maybe three years, then why not? Let em try it, I won't be watching any of them anyway, not really a fan of the whole superhero movie trend that has been going on for the last decade or so.

Yay, annual entertainment franchises! Only TV series should be annual, movies and games; not so much.
This is a horrible idea.

This doesn't quite make sense.  Serials are serial.  They aren't annual installments.

Serials are simply separated into seasons simply because here in the US they are typically only produced for a limited number of episodes.  The exceptions are talk shows, day-time soap operas, and UK TV shows which can sometimes have multiple seasons (series there) in one year.

I think this is a great move. But lets get pass all the cheesy early stories. We all know how he became spidey, lets get some battles with Carnage, Venom and some original story lines...........

Says who? If quality is maintained, people will watch. It's that simple.

This seems a tad ridiculous to me...

Every year? Over kill?

Why not make it a TV movie series in that case? They did say they wanted to make less movies and more TV content after all.

Odd decision.

Why not?

Spiderman movies are always a box office success

Maybe because they arent every year?  5 films in 12 years.

Dunno... just an idea.

And a bad one.

Pretty certain it's spider man related films. Like spinoffs etc. Wouldn't be a main entry every year

This

If that's the case then that's not so bad. Akin to the Marvel movies with Iron Man, Thor, Cap, The Avengers, Hulk, etc ..  in a sense.

I guess sony wants to try and kill there movie division now

Seems like Sony really is grasping for any way to get money.

Maybe they don't own the Spiderman movie rights indefinitely. Use it while they still can, before Disney gets it back.
