Also i didn't expect Castlevania 2 to be any good, but a 4 is terrible :S

Why? I enjoyed the first one.

As did i, but i hated the demo for the second one. You can download it already, if you haven't tried it by now.

*sigh* not looking gooking good for Castlevania. Might sit this out one.

Curious why DK only got a 7 from EDGE. They usually rate Nintendo games pretty high (9-10).

DK returns got the same score as this one.

Yeah, just read the summary of the review on Metacritic.

Hm.. maybe more of the same then? If so, thats not necessarily a bad thing

They gave Jazzpunk a 9 and DK a 7...I guess now we know what kind of reviewer we're dealing with here(the stupid hipster type)
Oh and GI gave TF a 9.25 i

No it means the reviewer rewards something original and new instead of same old same old. Also there a very large price difference between the two games.

How is DKCTF the same old stuff? They added a lot of new elements, 2 new Kongs (compared to DKCR) and a lot more.

How else do you wanna make a sequel?

I'm not saying i think it's the same old stuff. I was just responding to the fact apperently if a reviewer likes something new he/she is automatically a ''hipster''. They clearly gave Jazzpunk a high score because it is original and alot of fun for the money. I don't know what the complains about DKCTF were but it's not a really new concept and a full priced game.

Does this mean Nintendo is more doomed again?

or maybe you review games different in different price segments? it's not as if jazzpunk would get the same score as 60 dollar game or dk the same score as downloadable indie game for 15 bucks.

has nothing to do with hipster. i'm far from a hipster but you would probably say the same about me when i would review some indie games i like.

LOL I love how Nintendo games are always the focus and it make s the headline! pretty good score coming from EDGE

Haven't tryed it yet. I know they changed a lot of things (camera, open world, etc). The first one played much like GOW (to be honest, it was a total ripoff), but it done it correctly and was long and enjoyable. I will try the demo and see how it is now, but I had some expectations for it. Still have, since I'm taking reviews with a grain of salt now after they started giving horrible scores to innovating games, good scores to games that are the same old repacked BS and gave all indies a free pass to high Metas.

What do you mean by full priced?.... It's actually $49.99 which is $10 cheaper than almost all other newly released games. And it's a sequel. That's the point. To deliver more of the same gameplay/mechanics while changing other variables such as items, enemies, story, etc.

That's one great way to get click baits. You could become a game journalist.
