Companies usually don't give out official NPD numbers, so we wait for verified leakers on NeoGaf to tell them to us. Right now we only have exact numbers for PS4, XBO, and WiiU. The 3DS is estimated at 50-70k since 3DS/Vita/Wii combined sales are 84k.

I get you're new here, but these are verified leakers. There numbers have been proven right many many times.

Leaked by a guy who gets NPD numbers that most people would trust. He has leaked MS or Sony or Nintendo PR before. His numbers are pretty much given as fact as they often correspond to to what the companies said anyways.

It sounds like bs. If they have the numbers, and want to leak them, is it hard to tell the whole story? It sounds like bs. Gaf leaker: oh look! I have the official npd numbers here! They're somewhere around 80k, and they include multiple systems. I don't have time to give the real breakdown, it's too hard to type a couple of lines of text.... As it stands, there are absolutely no real npd numbers available for those. It's bs.

The smaller the number, the closer to the NPD real figure they have to post. And since they're not allowed to do that, this jeopardises whatever real job they have that buys in the very expensive NPD reports.

All < 84k is good enough with other info to get decent ranges.

Congrats to PS4. The most powerful console is deserved for this sales.

For Microsoft, they need think about how to improve the sales. The damages already made by the price, weaker hardware, worse version games. Even hardcore Xbox fans will be difficult to justify their purchase. 499USD = worse experience? No way...

It is not an easy task. If they drop the price soon, then all earlier adopters will be pissed. But if they don't do anything on the price, the situation will be getting worse and worse although it is safe to say Xbox One will be the 2nd best selling console in the new gen.

And if the situation continues, those investors will have more reasons to force MS to kill Xbox business.

Don Mattrick, this guy brought the success of Xbox 360, but then he destroyed Xbox One. The all-in-one strategy obviously is wrong as hell.
