To be fair, part of the problem is bad image/video compression.

No. Those are from eurogamer and have usually a really good quality (for jpegs).

The problems lies with the 793p resolution + low resolution textures (esram bottlneck) + Sharpening filter + upscaling. In motion don't forget to add the occasionnal screen tearing (again esram bottleneck hence only double frame buffered).

It's really a COD with mechs.

What a joke. This is the big thing for xbox one ??

Apparently there's this myth that the same treatment was bestowed upon PS3 users here during last gen, though in my years here as a lurker/poster I have certainly never seen it. Nor would that excuse it anyway. It's best to just shake your head, feel sorry for those people, and move on.

What platform are you going to play it on? I might double dip so I can play with my brothers.

I'll be playing on the Xbox One for sure. And I'm certain to be in the bottom 10% of players hahaha

One of the good things about Titanfall is even if you aren't good, there are AI minions around for you to kill and you'll still get a Titan even if you go 5-20.

Hopefully by launch it's a locked 60fps. Dips are unacceptable in this kind of game for a dev team with such a pedigree.

Not every game places a huge emphasis on cutting edge graphics.

Titanfall might not look the best, probably because it is a cross generational game, but it certainly has appealing gameplay. Which is what counts most.

So you want them to increase the resolution by 25% (900p seems to be the talk now) AND remove the frame rate dips? Good luck with that.. This game survives because it is a complete mess on screen, and by mess I mean there are dozens of units shooting hundreds of bullets every second from every corner of the screen. It does not survive on quality graphics or quality gameplay.

Anyone know how old the beta build is?

This would be devastating to me if I played resolutions instead of video games.

As it stands, all this beta footage leaking today, even more universal praise being heaped upon the game, can't wait

If it doesnt matter, will you buy it for the Xbox 360?

Frankly, it looks like a last gen game...

I thought the same thing. A good looking last gen game, but last gen all the same.

I don't even think its the resolution so much as the lack of detail and effects...
