Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Bot really an issue, but I'd like to be able to compare cumulative sales of consoles in the graphs section. Also, I'd like for regional breakdowns to come back to the graph on the main page.

Shall we put that down as more tools for free users?

Ok, thanks.

Honestly, at this point I think that the badges and gamer points should be scrapped altogether. These were implemented in a time where VGChartz was merged with it's own game database, and once that was moved away in lieu of GameWise, these systems have lost most of their functionality.

Maybe keep a modified badge system to help diversify the forum, but I'd argue that as of now, the gamer point system is only detrimental to the site (seeing how some abuse the system by hoarding popular thread topics to post for themselves, spamming on other people's walls, or just posting pointless spam in other threads just to get a point boost.) Heck, I'd argue that the post count feature should be hidden from the forums, as it's not an important indicator on what users can offer this site.

But I guess I'm just going into a different topic altogether now.

Other issues that need fixing:

The "<" glitch that hides everything after it's posted (easily fixed, but an issue nonetheless).
The PM glitch where if you post a ' in the title the user cannot respond to it.
Not necessarily a site glitch, but we should bring edit stamps back. These bring clarity on whether a user has edited his/her post.

so for your first point i could keep it simple with : Streamlining the forum by removing unnecessary points and badges.
or implementing a use for them maybe something like i dunno a prediction league.

I think post count is valuable.

Yeah, VG$ was interesting because you could do something with it. I guess gamer points were supposed to have a function (you could trade them in to get prizes or something) but it never panned out.

So yeah, what you said.
