They are mature. They contain blood and violence and sometimes nudity. These types of games attracts a lot of children, but that doesn't make them for children. That's like calling porn for kids just because lots of kids watch porn.

I said gamers not games

the games are for an older audience but most of those aren't mature even the older ones

Yes I hear this a lot. Nintendo's games aren't mature if that's what you're getting at.

The only Nintendo game I consider truly mature is Zelda: Majora's Mask. That's the perfect example of a game that doesn't need violence or nudity to be mature. There are others like some Fire Emblem games and other Zelda tittles, but to a lesser extend.


A mature game much like movies means the game is not fit for the eyes of children or even most teenagers. Maturity level depends on where you are and usually it means 17+. Zelda is not a mature rated game, its teen at best. Nintendo never goes over that.

Theres no point in arguing it. I think you're skewing it to suit your beliefs. We all understand that age doesn't equate to maturity, but in a general sense it determines. Kids will always want what they cannot have, that is human nature in general. It doesn't mean they should be playing it. Their parents either don't care or don't know.

And I don't disagree with that statement. My original point was that a game doesn't need to be M rated to be mature, nor does it have to be violent or have nudity. The way Zelda: Majora's Mask handles death and the way the characters react to the fact that they are going to die is much more mature and meaningful that a lot of M rated games out there; just because an enemy disappears when you kill it instead of spreading blood on the ground doesn't change the fact that the game has mature and complex topics.

If kids are interested enough, they can learn how big the fear of death can be by playing Majora's Mask without ever having to see a drop of blood, and that's something very few games, movies or books can achieve.

Ok this fixes everything.

More T games would be a nice change. I wouldn't hold my breath for the M games. Baby steps Nintendo.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I think we pretty much got that already.

There is a strong movement of people trying to sink Nintendo into 3rd party. A big lobby of people who favor the current american centric videogames market.
