Forums - Gaming Discussion - CM Punk just quit the WWE.

Wow I knew Punk was unhappy but I can't believe he just quit.  Rumor is they told him his match with HHH was going to Bryan and he told Vince that he was going home, and now has been pulled from all upcoming cards.  That just Sucks.  Now we offically have the 1st casualty of the part timer era and its CM Punk.

wow that is pretty shit to here, did you see him during the Royal rumble tho? there is portions of the fight where he is sat doing his Dhalsim/Yoga leg crossed sit in the top middle of the ring just watching. We were all kinda talking about why he was put on the back burner so much, shame for such a class talent. HHH getting his old friends back into the WWE like Road Dog and Billy Gun but allowing this to happen, Vince gonna slap some Son in Law around the place.

Not quite a fan of CM Punk, but I recognize talent. This is a shame if true, but certainly not shocking. WWE is way more dysfunctional now that it was post- WWF Attitude; even more so when Triple H is now involved. Damn shame.

FUCKING WWE don't kill your main event worthy guys

The fact that every fan and person in the locker room has known who would be the one pointing at the Wrestlemania sign at the end of the royal rumble really pissed off a ton of fans and wrestlers alike.

Worst thing is the winner of the Rumble is only 9 years younger than the oldest winner of the rumble ever and that was to Vince Mc Mahon when he had Umaga (rip) as his muscle. Sad times.

Wow, really? Billy Gunn has to be, like, what? 50?

But I don't really think Vince will care. Supposedly Punk's previous run-ins with Vince are what precipitated this in the first place, and Vince has always been the kind of guy who does things for his own amusement as much as because he thinks it will make money. In his boundless contempt for his own audience, he just figures they'll lap up whatever he throws at them. I haven't watched the WWE in forever, but I can only imagine that has gotten worse now that he has no competition to speak of, at least in so far as he still believes that the UFC isn't eating the WWE's lunch.

So if Punk has stood up to him before, it could be another Bret Hart situation where however big a star he is Vince is happy to see the back of him. I was never really a fan of Punk since he just seemed like an overrated KENTA wannabe from what little I've seen, but if he's got that kind of a spine, then good on him.

You have a very good eye for aging Wrestlers... or Perhaps just The Ass Man Billy Gunn haha :D

If you haven't seen WWE in ages you would have missed that their now trying to launch a WWE network, basically a video streaming service like Netflix but where all of the content will be from the WWE universe, so just old wrestling, PPV events and Movies like "The Marine, See no evil" so what they've been doing is basically flooding in anyone who can lace up a pair of Wrestling boots and seeing if the crowd wants to watch them. Raw has been extended to 3 hours per episode and they have more "reality tv" type things like NXT where they stick a load of up and coming Wrestlers in a house and see if any of them can go 5 mins without botching.

In reality tho all they've ended up doing is massively over diluting the talent they do have into a massive vat of mediocrity.... Did I mention Kevin Nash was an entrant to the Royal Rumble? http://youtu.be/RPqYrdnq-xE?t=6m29s from Punk the last time Nash came back, almost died laughing at this put down.

- edit youtube vid where Kevin Nash gets knocked outta the Royal Rumble... watch how fighting fit this man really is and all the effort it takes to get him out of the ring http://youtu.be/0YpxrqlR-kk?t=24m23s such talent. (please note this link is to the whole match so related videos have spoilers down the side to who won the event, just incase you were going to watch it still)
