As far as I am concerned, PS4 has no advantages over One.

Controller is better on Xbox
Live > PSN
Xbox UI > PS4 UI
Xbox exclusives > PS4 exclusives

Before someone comes here whining about price or a bit better graphics, I do have a gaming pc which costs more than PS4&One combined. It has best graphics on multiplat titles and that 100$ is not an issue.

No one is going to take you seriously with that stupid name

No one is going to take a guy playing anime games seriously. Pls. :D

LOL I never said I was a market visionary, but I do know that MS is NOT.  I use Windows 8.1 and love it, but it was not what the basic consumer wants (Engineers love it!).  They are wasting their time in other markets which significantly weakening the one thing they do right.  Now Balmer is stepping down so I'm sure things will improve from here...

They're going to sell well over 80,000,000 360 consoles, have an extremely lucrative business model with Live (one that Sony is now emulating), and have a great selling successor on the market now. I think they know more about the gaming market than the guy I was responding to. I am afraid I cannot make it any simpler for you.

LOL and your argument just fell apart like a house of cards.  The Xbox division has been losing 2 Billion dollars a year (covered up by patent money).  In fact investors have been telling them to drop Xbox practically since it launched. No, they have no clue what they are doing.  Just go watch their Xbox One reveal to see their most recent blunder...

And Sony burned all the money they made with PS1 and 2 combined with the PS3, you do realize that Sony make significant loss across the last +10 years and that they was quite close to bankruptcy? You do realize that Sonys major Investors Daniel Loeb wanted the same thing multipletimes from Sony like some want from Microsoft now? You do realize that opposed to Sony Microsoft makes every  year a huge profit and the Xbox 360 opposed to the ps3 made too a huge profit the last years?

I can't follow of your opposed sentences, but I will say that "Duh!  Sony has made a lot of mistakes in the past 10 years."  However they have a good CEO now who has his sh!t together.  Hopefully MS will get the same.

LOL it's not hard for me to admit that Sony F'ed up a ton of stuff in the PS3 era.   Some of you act like MS is your mom...

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

[Prediction Made 6/18/2014]

Sony has only taken a total loss of $7 Billion over the life of the PS3. They only need to have nearly double the success of the PS2 to be profitable when only comparing the two platforms.
Gaming division profit/loss only:
2007 -1,970,923,859
2008 -1,079,994,103
2009 -577,207,240
2010 -1,050,000,000
2011 $435,500,000.00
2012 -2,800,000,000
2013 16,500,000
Total -7,026,125,202

False... way wrong numbers... BTW I need to add FY2013 to the graph.

Game Division History

Where did you get this from, I am very curious. I spent the last half hour searching for year end loss and gain reports for Sony's gaming devision and the number I posted where what I received.

www.sony.net/SonyInfo/IR/library/er.html

I think you mistake is more about the FY2012... the Game division profited 1.7 billion yen... and FY2011 it profited 29.3 billion yen... after that I use the yen - dollar conversion that Sony posted in the same documents (like this table: http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/IR/financial/fr/viewer/12q4/slide/image/17_image.jpg ).

BTW some guys confuses the NPS division with Game Division... in FY 2009, FY2010 and FY2011 Sony posted the results for the NPS division but when they removed the Game Division from the NPS again in FY2012 they showed the FY2011 data for comparison.

So you can see that the NPS have a loss of 20.2 billion yen in FY2011...

But the Game Division profited 29.3 billion yen...

PS3 is profiting since 2009 but the other parts of the NPS division was so bad that make the Division post loss.

My table shows a * in the FY2010 and FY2009 because it used the NPS data... the issue is that the Game Division alone did profited a lot these years but the NPS got loss in FY2009 and low profit in FY2010.

The reallity is that if you get only Game Division in these years the number cam be even better for Sony and maybe cover the first year loses.

Just wanted to point out that the "losses" were not all because of the PS3 though. PS3 has been "profitting" for a while now they just have not recovered the lossess that they sustained AS A COMPANY. But I do get your point though!

The absence of evidence is NOT the evidence of absence...

Yes, but Xbox One still has other advantages, Kinect is better than PS Eye, more multimedia features, better launch titles.

Better online. more stock of XB1 for the rest of the year and months after.

I think PS4 launching in so many countries made them have a large shortage of stock in many of the main countries like N.A., Australia, Germany, Spain, England, U.K. etc.. PS4's are going to be back ordered until the end of Jan at least. Was at Gamestop yesterday and they had just received a batch of XB1. Nothing from Sony unfortunately.

Thanks for the additional insight. I was taking my number entirely from news reports, which are not nearly as reliable as Sony's own reports. I had no idea it was that easily accessible.
