I am fed up with losing so much money due to Nintendo's archaic and idiotic online policies. Loss of software purchased legally due to deletion of an account? Are they serious?

We need to send a strong message as consumers to Nintendo. They need to change NOW.

Any change will ultimately help them as well as the gaming industry in its entirety  as it will demonstrate consumer power.  I reckon both Sony and MS fans should also support it not because they hate Nintendo but because they love anything that can improve gaming.

So core Ninty (and other console) fans, will you support an online campaign to modernise the eshop policies? I need your help to structure the campaign.

Loss of software due to deletion of account? You know that if you decide to delete your Live or PSN accounts you lose the games you bought, too, right? O.o

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

3DS went for repair to retailer bought from. Didn't transfer account. Lost all data.

Now everyone will argue against the retailer's mishandling the console. I fully agree and I am chasing them. But it is not the issue.

The issue is to assist Nintendo modernise and demonstrate consumer power to all industry. Kind of what what fans did with MS and the backlash that followed the XboxOne reveal.

I think it is your fault... I'm sorry to be too blunt...

if you lost some files on your computer do you also petition to Microsoft for not backing up????

I think same goes to PSN and Live....

As I expect answers as this is my fault or the retailer's fault let me tell you that I have all data backed up to the SD card, details of my account, my login, bank details, passwords, login names etc.

Again this is an issue that has affected many consumers not jus me.

I simply never bought anything from their Eshop on my Wii/DS and won't again when I get a 3DS or WiiU until it is changed. If Sony, Microsoft, Steam, Apple and Google can do it then I kind-of expect it as standard nowadays.

So you backed up your files on an SD card before the repairs, and now the files don't work or something? I'm unclear on what the problem is.
