Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Is Quantum Break this gen's Gears of War (First REAL Next gen game??)

this looks very good, but:

LOL at people getting the "first true next gen" vibe.

There's already a handfull of games dating from 2011 on PC that looks even superior to this, and nobody bats an eye.

An exclusive launches for any new console that has mid-range specs and all of a sudden "next gen"

seriously.lol

Well, we've seen like 2 extremely short segments from it. So who knows. Closer than anything we've seen on PS4/Wii U imho.

Game looks great! Not sure about the "first real next gen" thing but i'm really anticipating this game.

Mmmm.... Looks awesome but I'm more hyped with the premise Ready at Dawn has presented us.

4 ≈ One

The game looks GREAT if you ask me! But the first REAL Next gen game? I don't know about that...looking at Ryse, KZ:SF, The Order 1886, Infamous SS, Titanfall etc.....it doesn't seem to be ahead of any of those games IMO that is...

The absence of evidence is NOT the evidence of absence...

Looks good but by no means the game that defines next gen...

It does look gorgeous and the premise sounds interesting. I'd say that it has the potential to be a system seller for the Xbox One, though maybe not to the degree that Titanfall, Halo, or a new Gears would be. One things for sure, Microsoft's 1st party is better than it's ever been, us Xbox fans are in for a real treat this generation.

1. Remedy isn't 1st party.

2. Respawn isn't 1st party.

3. Gears will most likely be multiplatform this gen, if the series continues.

4. Epic isn't 1st party.

5. How do you know 1st party is the best it's ever been? Turn10 just pumped out it's worst game to date and it's top 3 microsoft studio, baseless assumptions much or blind optimism?

I meant to say exclusives, more so than 1st party. However, Microsoft's 1st party is quite strong, they have 17 different 1st party studios working on new games, some of which have multiple dev teams working on different projects concurrently. As for you saying Turn 10 pumped out there worst game ever, that's not a fair statement, the game got two 100's from major publications (one of which wasn't reported on Metacritic), and the score was dragged down by Metacritic reporting scores from minor publications.

That happens with just about every game, Forza doesn't get a pass, even if the 10 was counted the Metacritic would still only be at 85, which is an all time low for the series.

Yeah, just like 2.5 - 3 million people. Oo

1. That figure is wrong.
2. Most of its sales are bargain bin.  Google 'Alan Wake flop'.

1. no, it is not.
2. still a lot of people loved Alan Wake. Including me. Google 'Alan Wake is awesome!'

PC my friend...

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Lol at the people bragging about the 2mill sales, Alan wake was pretty much given away after the first few months because it underperformed.

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Looking good, I'm hoping for a PC version eventually just like Alan Wake
