Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Forza 5 microtransaction prices. Is this real?? Edit: It's a mistake and will be fixed

Found on Gaf

price per token
1€ => 1ct / token
5€ => 1,53 ct / token
10€ => 1,74 ct / token (recommended ! )
20€ => 1,6 ct / token
50€ => 1,85 ct /jtoken (Great Value !!! )
100€ => 1,25 ct /token

Is that a mistake, did someone fake it? If not why would MS decide to make the tokens in the bigger packs more expensive?

Edit: A Turn 10 developer posted this on Neogaf:

Hi all, just wanted to quickly clarify the situation.

The pricing displayed for Token Packs in Forza Motorsport 5 is incorrect. As a result, transactions are not paying out the correct number of tokens. We are resolving this issue immediately and expect players to see the correct pricing structure and accurate token values later today. Any player that has purchased one of these packs will be credited the appropriate amount of tokens when the issue has been resolved.

So, the pricings were a mistake.

Why does it go from French to English?

The prices for tokens in Forza Motorsport 5 can be found below.

Tokens can be used to buy cars instead of credits which are earned through in-game races. Forza 5 gives every player 100 tokens when they first start the game, but you can buy different amounts of tokens if you choose.

Having reviewed the game over at VideoGamer, I didn’t find myself needing to purchase tokens to buy cars that would be sufficient to complete Career events, but others may feel differently when it comes to unlocking a large quantity of cars or some of the more luxurious and high-class motors.

Here are the different tiers available to buy (in pounds sterling):

  • 100 Tokens – £0.79
  • 300 Tokens + 25 free – £3.99
  • 500 Tokens + 75 free – £7.99
  • 1000 Tokens + 250 free – £15.99
  • 2000 Tokens + 700 free – £39.99
  • 5000 Tokens + 3000 free – £64.99

so if you wanted all the cars quickly you will be looking at £65 + price of game £50

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

I read most ms exclusives have micro transactions, except dead rising. Something I read on another site, not sure if it's true, if it is that would be very disappointing.

I'm a firm believer that microtransactions should only be used for F2P games

Ok, so it gets cheaper in Pounds, then my pic is either fake or a mistake by MS

It is actually more like you pay a premium for what they say comes free.

100 credits = .79
80 purchases @ .79 for 8000 credits= 63.2

You pay 64.99 for 5000 w/ 3000 free.

That's terrible.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

2013. Optional microtransactions. Deal with it.

But i thought gamers hate P2W,Item Shops and all those things.

This is exactly the same style of P2W most F2P games are using these days.
But everyone hates them.

Especially if its F2P with Optional Microtransactions for things you could get ingame with playing enough.
This is nothing different > You just pay for a full price game instead of getting it free.

then don't buy them, simple. you have the choice not to you know. show some self discipline.

The point isn't that they exist but that they get more expensive if you buy them in bulk, which is just wrong.
