If those are the silly trends your cherry picking, youre obviously going to be left with a biased viewpoint. 1 month means nothing.

and its not just sales trends you have to look at. its the whole industry. consumers competitors developers. at the moment very few things are going for the wii U and with the PS3 and 360 offering more content at a lower price for the lower end of the market and ps4 and xbox one successfully attracting the higher end of the console market, wii U is left with hardly anything.

They launced at the worst possible time they could and they are paying the price for it.

Funny how you call me out for "cherry picking", and then list as "trends" your opinions. As for "consumers competitors developers", I'm not even sure what that's meant to mean.

I will at least recognise, though, that you're finally actually providing *some* sort of justification, even if it is based on your personal opinion rather than hard facts.

you dont know what anything means, im not sure if youre acting clueless just to troll me so im not going to feed you anymore.

Funny that the guy who complained that his claims were unreasonably being questioned when the questioner provides detailed reasoning, and then gets called out on it, is again trying to twist an argument used by the questioner in a PR spin type of manner. Curious that this person also admits that they are studying marketing.

There's nothing clueless about what I've posted. I've challenged YOU to provide justification, and you have failed to do so, over and over and over again. I finally got you to at least provide SOMETHING... and your something is, at best (assuming the best possible interpretation of your three-word argument), "3rd parties aren't really supporting the system compared with the others, and there's no solid evidence that Wii U is getting support from consumers, either". The thing is, outside of the case of EA, we have no reason to assume one way or another regarding ongoing 3rd party support, and the only evidence that PS4 or XBO are, on the whole, going to get any more consumer support, is explainable easily through the very first point I'd made in response to your claim - the first out of the gate *always* sees significantly slower sales at first, until the others are released.

And that's taking the best possible interpretation of your completely inadequate post. The fact that every one of your posts is equally flippant and inadequate speaks volumes. I, on the other hand, have justified every single claim I've made, and you have also not provided a single word of counterargument for those justifications, outside of essentially calling me an idiot - I always find it entertaining when a person who doesn't seem capable of elementary reasoning makes such implications about a person who utilises extensive reasoning throughout the debate.

Nintendo fans need to relax. Even if Wii U is a sales disappointment (and yes, sorry that does look fairly likely right now) it's not the end of Nintendo.

Wii U is just a lot of well intentioned, but poorly received and timed decisions on Nintendo's part, mixed in with some laziness and being out of touch.

At least on the plus side their games look great in HD. Mario 3D World really pops on a good HDTV set, thank goodness the Wii days are over.

The N64 first year isn't comparable to the Wii U. Sony was still fairly unestablished at that time, many people figured the N64 was going to be the SNES-2 and get all the games (average joes didn't understand the economics behind CD vs cartridge and third party vs first party etc.). I had several friends that bought an N64 early on, but then had to buy a Playstation later on to get all the games they wanted.

The N64 also for its time was the most hyped game system ever, "Silicon Graphics! Like Jurassic Park and Terminator 2!" etc. etc. etc. Nintendo of that era was a lot more like what Sony/MS are today. And also GoldenEye saved the N64, that game had *tremendous* word of mouth and ironically started the FPS shooter craze on consoles.

This article says it all!

Enjoy!

Has Nintendo ever been relevant? I get that Wii sold quite nicely, but it did not have any impact on games for Nintendo systems. Wii U will be even worse. Only Nintendo-fans buy the console.

The 3DS is selling half a million a week, and the Wii U is selling more then the PS4.

PlayStation has become 100% irrelevant:
