Was there a crash game on PS3? Seriously a franchise that sold 5-8mil copies vanished out of nowhere makes no sense (unless i missed something?)
Sony couldn't even get Crash for PASBR, how it the world would they get the whole franchise back?

Crash is on the PSX, PS2, GBA, GC, Wii, Xbox, PSP, and 360. The only really good games were for the PSX. The worst ones were on the GBA. Spyro also was on most if not all of those consoles plus the PS3. Since you're a Nintendo fan, maybe you'll be happy to know that the GBA Spyro's actually fared much better, though I'd say Spyro the Eternal Night is the only GBA game worth playing.

This was the problem with both Crash and Spyro on the PS1. They were originally owned by Universal Vivendi Games, and they had a temporary publishing deal with Sony on the PS1. However, Universal Vivendi was bought out by Activision, giving them the right to the franchises. This is why when the PS2/ GC/ XB era came around, we started seeing both series make appearances on all the consoles (and the overall decline of the series'). It's why the original 4 games are still exclusive to PS; Sony still owns the rights, technically. Rumor has it though that Sony recently bought the rights, and the games might make a comeback. Who knows? Would be pretty frickin awesome.
It'd be great, I loved CB3: Warped on the PS and a Crash game would be a great addition to the PS4 library.
And if it was made by the original developers, Naughty Dog, it'd surely be better. And I'd like a next gen Ratchet , the PS4 needs moar platforming.

I see, If true with Sony they can have their Mario. (Platformer back). Definetly a huge loss, sort of reminds me of Banjo Kazooie, the best platformer along with Conker's Bad fur day+Donkey Kong 64 on N64. Rare bought out by M$. Such a waste. I was so excited to hear banjo returning then the abomination Bolts and Nuts came :'-(
I say bring at back as a $10-$15 digital game. I would buy the shit out of that
Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League
