I think your misinterpreting this. All he said was that the larger teams were moving to the ps4. That doesn't mean that game development for ps3/vita will completely stop and all current projects will be cancelled. Also, he didn't mention how large the teams are. For example, the "larger teams" could have 600 people while the "smaller teams" could have 459 people. Did you ever think that ps4 AAA games may require MORE people to work on them and handheld games won't require as many resources. Your making this seem worse than it actually could be.

im not misinterpreting anything. back when the vita was launched Sony said all of their first party devs are working on games for it. that wasnt true. i understand if ND wasnt because they already started TLoU at the time and were 2 years in the dev in it. but why wasnt GoW: A released on the vita instead of the PS3? why isnt Gran Turismo on the vita instead of the PS3 as well? support the fucking console sony. i was interested in buying it, but i am not now, nor will i be if this continues to be the case.

Well did the PSP even have a large team working on a game for it? You won't really need a large team to make handheld games. Tearaway for example looks stunning and it's made by a small team at Mm.

No, it need games. And Sony isnt doing this. No large or small studio is. I mean, this xmas we have Tearaway and Killzone Mercenary(wich had super low marketing, and is selling very bad compared to any other Killzone)

That is just a shame.

Wats worse for at least tearaway is its release date, which imo in the US (excluding black friday) will the most busy day in gaming!

How do you know sony isn't working on a god of war/gran turismo vita game right now? Who knows these two games and more may be announced later on. Plus didn't sony say they would support the ps3 even though the ps4 was about to launch. They probably wanted to give ps3 owners one finale GOW and GT experience before moving on to next gen.

if sony doesnt want to support its handheld why make it in the first place? if sony want to make another GoW and GT for PS3 and release a handheld and not release few to no games on it in its second year, why release the handheld? what big first partygames does the PSV have for next year? none. and this decision happened a long time ago. if they had anything big for it they would have started 2 years ago on it. Sony has majorly fucked up with the Vita, no way around it.

Isn't this more of a "Fuck PS3" than a "Fuck Vita" ?

no it isnt. because they supported the PS3 for 7 years now.

I get that..but all hes saying is that there big internal studios are moving off PS3 and onto PS4. Doesnt mention anything about VITA....

Just in rare cases. GTA was made by a smaller team, for example. Bend, Japan Studio, Guerrilla Cambridge and other will probably do more work on Vita like they did with Uncharted, Gravity Rush and KZ.

Screw you Yoshida.

Uff.

On the one hand, personally, I don't actually mind this. The only "big" Sony game I like is Uncharted; my love for them is contained in the smaller IP's like Ratchet; WipEout; Jak; LittleBigPlanet etc. and you don't need massive teams for these. It's perfectly possible that they can be developed by - for example - a smaller team within Sony (i.e. Media Molecule's Tearaway) or outside partners (i.e. Tarsier's LittleBigPlanet). So as long as they kept doing that for Vita - I'd actually be incredibly happy.

But they're not even doing that. We've had Soul Sacrifice; Tearaway; Killzone & Invizimals for this year. Nothing announced for next year so far. Where's this support, Sony? Stop spending money on bloody timed exclusive DLC and start actually making these games that you say you're making. Apart from, you know, Puppeteer on PS3.

And in any case, it'd keep me happy, but it's not going to entice anyone into the console. And I presume they do actually want to sell Vita's. But it sure doesn't feel like it sometimes. They're happy pandering to the existing fanbase and that's about it.

Uff.

Sad for vita owners that they will be left behind without proper support for their purchase, but everybody saw it coming long time ago. I guess is the best decision for sony tho given that the platform most likely would have ended losing lots and lots of cash for them if they kept investing on it.
